Bhatt ki Daal


Introduction -

A Straightforward Yet Nourishing Meal From The Stunning Hills Of Uttarakhand Is Called "Bhatt Ki Dal". It Is A Traditional Kumaon Cuisine Prepared With Black Soybeans Or Bhatt. Although The Meal Is Absolutely Tasty, Kumaoni Cuisine Is Unique From Other Types. The Paharis (Also Known As Pahadi, Are People Who Reside In The Lower Himalayan Hills) Like Simple Cooking Methods.

Heart Of Kumaon Region:

In the state's Garhwal and Kumaon regions, black soybeans, also known as Bhatt ki dal, are commonly used in cooking. The Kumaon region of the country has Bhatt Ki Dal Recipe. People who reside in Uttarakhand or the Kumaon region are well-known for their love of Pahari cuisine. People in this mostly hilly area consume straightforward, wholesome meals. It is ideal for their challenging environment, which is provided by the Himalayan mountains. The Kumaoni cuisine places a strong emphasis on energizing ingredients and straightforward but nourishing recipes because of the region's severe weather.

Recipe:

Here, Among The Tall Buildings Of Uttarakhand, Organic Black Soybeans Are Grown For Bhatt Ki Dal. Black Beans Are Used To Make The Curry, Which Is Then Cooked In A Hot Gravy Composed Of Wheat Flour. Using Simple Materials From Your Kitchen, You Can Make The Gravy In Under 20 Minutes. For Your Regular Lunch, You Can Serve It With Phulka And Sabzi

step 1: Bhatt Ki Dal Should Soak For Several Hours Or Overnight. With Only A Quarter Cup Or No Water, Grind The Washed Dal Into A Paste.

step 2: Ghee Or Oil, Asafoetida, And Cumin Seeds Should All Be Added To A Pan. Green Chilies, Onion, Minced Ginger, And Garlic Should All Be Cooked Through.

step 3: Garam Masala, Chili Powder, Coriander Powder, And Turmeric Powder Should Be Added. For A Few Minutes, Sauté. Mix Thoroughly After Adding Wheat Flour. Cook Until A Pale Brown Color Appears.

step 4: When The Ground Dal Is Thoroughly Combined With The Other Ingredients, Add It. Add Salt, Then Pour Around Three Glasses Of Water. Until The Curry Becomes Thick, Simmer.

step 5: It Would Take Around 30 Minutes To Complete. Serve Hot With Rice After Tempering With Cumin Seeds In Oil.
